Visa-free entry for all Fan ID holders till the end of 2018
After the football championship, Russian Government announced that the owners of the FAN ID for the 2018 world Cup will be given multiple entry visa-free access to Russia until the end of the year and it is planned to introduce a simplified conditions for the fans ' families.
During the month of football festivities, sports fans not only enjoyed the magnificent performance of national teams and their rejected struggle for the victory at the ultra-modern stadiums, but also got acquainted with the unique sights and traditions of Russia and appreciated the hospitality of local residents.

Cosmos pavilion at VDNKh
On April 12, 2018, on Cosmonautics Day after two years of renovation the updated Cosmonautics and aviation center was opened in the Cosmos pavilion at VDNKh.
On the area of more than 15 thousand square meters visitors can see 120 samples of flying and space technology. Some exhibits were made especially for the Cosmos exposition. Another point of interest is the Hall of Fame where visitors can learn about the exploits of domestic astronauts.
Opening of the park "Zariadye"

Museum-panorama "The Battle of Borodino" will be closed for overhaul
The panorama museum "The Battle of Borodino" will be closed for major repairs since the beginning of winter, the portal of the mayor and the Moscow government reported. Repair work will not affect the exhibition halls, but the collections will be dismantled and stored in special boxes. The completion of the repair is planned for the summer of 2018.
The press service of the Department of Culture of Moscow reported that in the hall of the building will be repaired the walls, floor, ceiling and installed new furniture. Steps at the entrance are also completely reconstructed, they will update the stairs, put a new tile and install ramps for visitors with disabilities.

Belarus: visa-free entry
Belarus introduces five-day visa-free regime for citizens of 39 countries of Europe, including the entire European Union, Brazil, Indonesia, the USA, Japan, and other countries, entering through the border checkpoint at the Minsk National Airport.
This decision aims to raise the number of private visitors with regular passports and will not apply to foreigners on official trips with diplomatic, service, special and similar passports.
A valid passport, money and medical insurance operational in Belarus will be needed for the visa-free entry.
The citizens of Vietnam, Haiti, Gambia, Honduras, India, China, Lebanon, Namibia, Samoa should also have a valid multi-visa to the EU states or the Schengen Area with a mark confirming the entry to their territory, plane tickets confirming the departure from Minsk within 5 days after the date of the entry.
The visa-free regime does not apply to people arriving to Belarus by plane from Russia and planning to go to the airports of Russia (these are internal flights with no border control).

This August in Moscow was opened the unique complex - Moskvarium. New centre is divided into three zones: aquarium, centre of swimming with dolphins and the water-show zone. You will enjoy incredible underwater journey through the world’s oceans from the Lake Baikal to Galapagos Islands, from the Icelandic fjords to Great Barrier Reef, from Greenland to Kamchatka. Over eight thousand animals and 500 species of fish from the smallest coral dweller to the three meter sharks and Russian sturgeon live in the aquariums.
The territory of aquarium spans more than 12 000 sq. m with 80 huge special aquariums and swimming pools. Moscow – Beijing in 48 hours by train

If the new project between Russian & Chinese Railways goes ahead the journey from Moscow to Beijing, which now lasts for at least six days, would be reduced to two days crossing 7 thousand miles and six time zones in about 48 hours. The first agreement with the Chinese railways has already been signed and the design of the new route could be ready already by the end of this year.
Aurora cruiser renovation, Saint Petersburg

On September, 21st the legendry cruiser “Aurora” sailed out of St. Petersburg to the construction yard. The ship won its fame in the Russo-Japanese War and both World Wars, it also signaled the beginning of the Russian Revolution in 1917, by firing a blank shot. As a museum ship Aurora has been an important tourist attraction in Saint Petersburg, visited by almost 30 million people. The restoration will enable to preserve the historic part of the hull and machinery of the ship and is projected to last for at least 2 years.
